Depress the plunger rod all the way into the barrel, place end of the pipe into fluid medication and slowly pull back on the plunger rod (using the thumb ring) until dosage reaches desired capacity by reading the fluid ounce measurements on the plunger rod. Cautiously insert the pipe into the side of the animal’s mouth and place the end of the pipe near the throat opening. Do not insert too far into the throat or damage could occur to the pharynx. Depress the plunger slowly, with the aid of the thumb and finger rings, to extrude medication. Hold the dose pipe in the throat until the animal swallows before removing to confirm an absolute administration.
